URGENT Message to all on premises Cognos TM1 and Cognos Express Customers: You must refresh your SSL Certificate or your TM1 System will Stop Working on November 25, 2016

As you may have heard via marketing emails or from online articles, the SSL certificates that ship with TM1 are set to expire on November 24th, 2016.  eCapital has been in contact with IBM regarding this issue and have confirmed this is a valid concern for all customers.  This will affect all clients running TM1 up to 10.2.2 FixPack 6, the latest FixPack, who are running under the default 1024 bit certificates.

IBM has released several tech notes related to this issue and is currently working on a fix for all customers.  While there are work arounds, 2048-bit certificates and implementing your own corporate certificates, we do recommend customers wait for IBM to release and official fix.

eCapital will keep all customers up to date on this issue as IBM provides further information.
