Many have experienced issues using Internet Explorer 11 within the Hyperion Workspace in versions 11.1.2.1 and prior. When administrators encounter these issues, it can cause errors in design that may go unnoticed. Additionally the fix is usually to close all Internet Explorer windows and start over. Examples of these issues include, but are not limited to the below:
- While performing tasks witin the workspace, a mouse click may take place far from where the cursor is displayed
- Switching between other Internet Explorer tabs and windows may cause the screen to become stuck on a previously rendered action
- Internet Explorer may suddenly split the screen into 2 or more panes
These issues are present within the reporting Explore functions, EPMA, and Planning as well as other web components Workspace. Luckily, some workarounds for this have been discovered. This involves a combination of using a specific Java version and a windows text size setting, per the screenshots below. While this may not in fact be a cure all, in many cases it has resolved the issues described above.
Java Version – 6 Update 45
IE Version – 11.0.9600.18617
Text Size – 100%
